# Promptable

> Promptable is an AI-native operating-docs system for manufacturers, distributors and operations-heavy teams. It reads the SOPs and procedures a business already has, helps teams write the ones that are missing, and answers questions on the floor with citations — so the right, current procedure is always one question away. Built in Sheffield, UK, for UK manufacturing SMEs.

## What Promptable does

- **Ask your own documents.** Connect the files you already have (SharePoint, Google Drive, S3). Promptable reads your existing SOPs and procedures — no re-authoring in a new tool — and lets anyone ask a question and get an answer with a citation back to the source document.
- **Capture expert knowledge by voice.** Promptable interviews experienced staff in short voice sessions and turns what they know into written, searchable SOPs — capturing tribal knowledge before it retires.
- **Keep documentation current.** It flags when procedures fall out of date, conflict, or have gaps, so documentation stays in sync with how the work is actually done.

- **Compliance** — ISO 9001 / 14001 / 27001 / 45001 frameworks, controls, risk register, audits, CAPA/NCR workflow, and automatic scanning of documents against controls.
- **Training** — training matrix, certification records, AI-generated assessments, and automatic retraining triggers when a linked document changes.
- **Document automation** — extracts structured data from uploaded documents, enriches it from the knowledge base, and fills templates.
